The restored interior and expansive outdoor spaces also make it ideal for weddings of every scale — from elopements and micro-weddings to celebrations for up to 100 guests. Hens weekends, B&B stays, and bespoke Escape Packages (including a two-course dinner, cocktail-making and liqueur tasting) round out the experience for those wanting a memorable getaway.

Inside, you’ll find flexible spaces for seminars and meetings, supported by audiovisual equipment and tailored catering options for lunches, dinners or canapés. Outside, the wide decking and lawn are perfect for cocktail hours, team-building activities or simply soaking in the view. Accommodation for up to 8 guests lets you extend your event into a peaceful overnight stay.

Connemara Country Lodge is beyond a doubt the most stunning venue in the Awhitu region I have ever been to!not only are the ground well maintained by Kevin and Grainne but they are by far the most personable people I have ever met, very relaxed and supportive, having done over 90 weddings they excel in fantastic communcation and problem solving to make sure everything goes perfect for your big day.As a groomsman helping out decorating or fixing last minute issues Kevin was a gentleman offering advice, help and a positive attitude the whole time.While Grainne was the most gracious host floating around helping problem solve and even providing me with a bag of their delcious heirloom tomatos to take home back to wellington with me.10/10 wedding all thanks to a wonderful pair, highly recommend this place for Kevin and Grainne alone!

Connemara Country Lodge is probably one of the best lodges I've ever stayed at. I ended up here unexpectedly due to poor time management and was simply hoping to find somewhere to stay for the night. But this place far exceeded my expectations of an ordinary lodge.The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which immediately made me feels like home. The room had a stunning view overlooking the harbour and surrounding farms from a hilltop; a peaceful landscape that truly helps you escape the noise and chaos of city life. If you're looking for a quiet place to clear your mind, this is it.Although we arrived under a cloudy sky and didn't get to see many stars, the experience was still unforgettable. The house is filled with beautiful paintings, and the historical, old-fashioned style of the layout adds a charming, cosy character. The large lobby is perfect for relaxing or spending time with friends or family.There's also free Wi-Fi and reliable internet access, something many other motels lack. The food was homemade, delicious, and felt very natural, like a warm meal from someone who cares. Before coming here, I never thought I'd enjoy being 'stuck' in the middle of nowhere, but this place completely changed my mind. Sometimes, the best memories are made when things don't go to plan. 😉✨
