Waiau River Estate rests on the banks of the Waiau River. This venue is home to Hells Gate Wines and High Country Honey and has been producing award-winning wines since 2008. Although they’re over an hour outside of the centre of Christchurch, they are a venue well worth the trip. Surrounded by gorgeous views of the Southern Alps and breathtaking greenery, they can host up to 100 guests cocktail-style and are happy to tailor their services to your needs. As a flexible venue, they are comfortable hosting several events and have a dedicated events team on hand to help with planning and organising. A country restaurant, Langdale Vineyard Restaurant is barely 15 minutes from Christchurch and brings with it an earthy, fresh appeal. With French doors that allow for natural light to flood the space, and the Winery Hall adjacent to the restaurant, this Christchurch venue is a flexible option for any event. The blooming gardens feature sheltered spots to grant you an indoor/outdoor flow if desired. Choose to have your function indoors or outdoors with Melton Estate, and take in the view from their expansive deck that overlooks the vineyard. They offer exclusive use of the estate, The Pavilion for your event, a private and seasoned events coordinator, a lighting and sound system for your convenience, and so much more. Melton Estate also happens to be an award-winning Christchurch venue, having netted the South Island “Best Wine Tourism Restaurant.” They’re also the only Canterbury winery venue with a Qualmark Venue 4-star plus rating.
