Dining at Ata Rangi Lodge is curated by an in-house private chef, who creates menus that showcase the region’s finest ingredients. For added flexibility, third-party caterers are also welcome.

The property features seven beautifully appointed bedrooms, accommodating up to 15 guests—making it ideal for intimate gatherings or multi-day celebrations focused on luxury and comfort.

We stayed in the Mountain View Chalet for a couple’s weekend away and absolutely loved it. The views were incredible, the chalet was private, peaceful, and beautifully set up with everything we needed. It felt like the perfect little escape, cozy, quiet, and just far enough out of town to really relax. Would definitely come back!

I approached Ata Rangi with an idea of organising a hunting trip that would blend into a surprise wedding for my then fiancé. They were so accommodating to the idea, threw so many options and ideas at me, and made the entire process seamless.We stayed in the mountain chalets, which took min the stunning mid winter snowy mountains front and centre. The beds were comfortable and there was everything we needed for our stay. On the evening of our wedding, they had an atv pick us up and drive us to the picnic spot overlooking Kaikoura, where they had our photographer and celebrant waiting. They arranged a private chef to cook for us in the chalets that evening which was a 10/10 experience. We loved being able to light the fire and get cosy after being out in the winter wind.If you are looking for a beautiful accomodation or an elopement solution, this absolutely without a doubt should be on the top of your list.Thank Hayden, Kylie and the team for all your help!

Loved our stay at Ata Rangi Lodge.Such a beautiful, peaceful spot! The views were amazing — mountains on one side and ocean on the other. The lodge was super comfy and had everything we needed.We loved the big windows, the cozy fire, and just how relaxing it all was. Definitely a great place to unwind. Would 100% stay again!
