Ōnuku Marae is five kilometres from the township of Akaroa and an 80 minute drive from Christchurch. As one of the largest event, conference and noho marae style accommodation facilities on Banks Peninsula, we create a unique cultural experiences with all the comforts and hospitality of a modern venue. You don't just hire the venue, as it is customary at Ōnuku marae that new groups visiting the marae, are welcomed with a traditional pōwhiri.
