Black Estate, located on rolling hills 45 minutes north of Christchurch, is a beautiful place for events. Whether a full hire for a party, a special dinner or wedding, or an exclusive space in our deck-room for lunch, your event at our place will be unique and beautiful. We're a Two Hat restaurant using local organic produce, paired with our renowned wines in a relaxed setting.

Our staff manage your event with thoughtful detail so that you and your guests can simply make yourselves at home when you're here.

We seat 55 for lunch or dinner and host up to 90 pax for a party with canapé and substantial grazing tables. We can also manage wedding ceremonies on site before a reception.

For private meetings and workshops, we can offer our exclusive Winery Room – a private property with a beautiful, tranquil room including all necessary facilities and stunning views across Netherwood vineyard to the mountains. Groups can have lunch brought in to the meeting or head down to our restaurant for a long lunch. We also offer activities at Netherwood like a hosted wine tasting or behind the scenes tour at the winery.

We have one B&B adjacent to the restaurant with stunning views and peace and quiet. There are bikes to use for the local vineyard trail and you can order takeaway food for an evening in. Enjoy life on our vineyard.
