We went here to pick a venue for our event. It was a pleasure dealing with Daniel over a few days. He was a thorough gentleman when we visited, showing us the place in great detail. In the end, we went with an alternative venue as we did not feel the spaces available suited the kind of event we were hosting, but it was great to deal with Daniel and hence wanted to give a shout out to him.

Lovely hotel, a very clean and luxurious hotel. The rooms are well appointed with little delightful and surprising touches not seen anywhere else by me. The food service was outstanding as was the room cleaning. We had fun with little George. (You’ll find out if you stay here.). Helpful staff.

We only stayed one night at the George and wished we spent more time at the hotel and in the city itself. Hotel is wonderfully located, making possible a wonderful day at the botanical garden followed by dinner at one of the many restaurants in the business district by the cathedral. Very welcoming front desk and concierge staff who provided excellent personal recommendations for what to see and where to eat. Breakfast was good too, with a friendly and efficient staff who handled the morning rush of groups of travelers on tight schedules with aplomb. Almost certainly the best place to stay in the city, especially if you like small hotels with personality.
