Boasting picturesque views stretching to the Southern Alps and across Christchurch city, Waipuna Estate is the perfect venue for your wedding, corporate event, private function or luxury getaway. Our venue presents a peaceful, tranquil setting while being a scenic 25-minute drive from Christchurch.

Waipuna Estate is the perfect venue for a range of private functions, events, weddings or parties, with flexible spaces and facilities. Our function room can be easily transformed for corporate clients to use as a venue for managers’ meetings, business or client events, team building days or launch parties.

We can cater for groups of 100, cocktail-style, with 85 for dinners and other seated events. For smaller parties or events, we can provide a more intimate setting if required. Waipuna Estate also boasts luxurious accommodation, with a total of four guest rooms, as well as plenty of on-site parking.

Waipuna Estate was the perfect wedding venue for me. From Sarah the owner, to the views from the venue and to the incredible staff, my wedding day was everything I dreamt of. Sarah has a gift of making you feel at ease, was responsive when I asked a million questions and helped me so much when planning the day. The gorgeous views from the venue overlooks the Canterbury Plains so you don't need to add additional decor. Finally the Waipuna staff on the night were amazing, from looking after young kids to ensuring a seamless flow on the night. I cannot recommend Waipuna Estate enough 10/10.(Also, Waipuna has a variety of decor included in the price so you don't need to stress about the little details like archway, table numbers, candle holders etc. !!)

From the moment Fi showed my partner and I around Waipuna, we knew it was where we wanted to get married. Fi was warm, bubbly, and hilarious—she made us feel instantly comfortable and genuinely excited. Sarah was just as amazing, keeping everything running smoothly with her quick replies and eye for detail.The day itself was more perfect than we could’ve hoped for. The staff were lovely, the setting was stunning, and our guests couldn’t stop telling us how much they loved Fi (and her generous drink pours) and how beautiful the venue was. Being able to stay on-site the night before and after made everything so much easier, especially with setting up and packing down.I felt so calm on the day, knowing Fi and Sarah had everything under control. Everyone was blown away by the views, and our florals (done in-house by Katrin) were absolutely gorgeous.Waipuna was the perfect wedding venue for us—we couldn’t recommend it more!

Our wedding day at Waipuna was perfect, we wouldn't have changed a thing. We both felt so well looked after from the moment we arrived the day before, until we left the day after. We stayed the night before and the night of the wedding.We especially loved the attention to detail, there were so many times where things just fell into place without us having to think about it.
