Tatum is a boutique, heritage-rich venue set in a lush parkland just an hour north of Wellington. Delivered through a beautifully restored 1912 homestead and new purpose-built spaces, Tatum effortlessly blends historic charm with modern amenities—ideal for conferences, retreats, weddings, and events.

Tatum offers seven versatile indoor and outdoor event spaces, including The Pavilion, Cobham, Tatum House, The Lookout, The Dell, Cooksley Corner, and the Homestead Lawn. These spaces are purpose-built for flexible layouts, hosting gatherings from small strategy sessions to large-scale conferences for up to 200 attendees.

In-house catering by Head Chef Ray Parimathawut highlights seasonal, locally sourced produce—with everything from casual buffets to full-service dining experiences available.

Supported by a dedicated events team and stylistic coordination. Tatum ensures each event is tailored to precise needs. With a high level of theming available and decor available ensuring your event is creative and unique.

For weddings at Tatum, enjoy exclusive venue hire. Tatum accommodates both intimate ceremonies and grand celebrations. Couples gain access to all spaces—including charming gardens and stately indoor areas—plus a romantic Bridal Suite for the night. A high level of event styling and interior designed spaces including landscaped outdoor spaces, illuminated trees and festoons throughout the park ensure a beautiful backdrop to your celebration and a multitude of photographic opportunities.

A personal planner and stylist guide couples through the design process, aided by unique additions like vintage vehicle arrivals (a ‘73 Thunderbird or ’65 Chevy), picturesque picnic setups, fire‑pit s’mores, and a DJ package for dancing under the stars. The site has two indoor bars and a purpose-built outdoor bar in the fire pit area amongst the trees. And three outdoor portable bars.

Jamboree, the onsite venue’s bar & restaurant, offers a vibrant hub for casual dining, live music evenings, brunch, and high teas. The restaurant blends wood‑fired pizzas, classic burgers, gourmet breakfast, and conference-friendly menus within a social, laid-back space—all supported with group dining and booking options. There is an international flare with the casual dining menu which showcases local produce. There is always something happening with live music every Friday and regular inhouse events. Think themed parties and themed dinners, cocktail parties and live music events.
