Camp Glenorchy Eco Retreat

Queenstown

In Glenorchy we believe every good corporate event or conference requires the very best corporate facilities to make it a success.

Camp Glenorchy is an ideal destination for conference groups, incentive programs, leadership meetings or celebrations. The property’s beautiful setting and surroundings give groups a unique setting to connect, build relationships, and create memories while achieving all your goals. Glenorchy is a short 40-minute drive from Queenstown, along one of New Zealand’s most scenic lakeside roads. Alternatively, a short, incredibly scenic helicopter or fixed wing flight will bring your group to Glenorchy Aerodrome—just minutes away—in no time! Centrally located near the Glenorchy town centre, your guests can take a leisurely stroll to explore local cafes, pubs, the lagoon boardwalk, the lakeshore or other activity sites. There are three core areas within our corporate facilities at Camp Glenorchy, all of which can be used for your Conference or Corporate event. The Homestead forms the heart of your corporate home away from home, as well as the Scheelite Campfire Shelter which enables your team to enjoy the great outdoors whilst covered and cosy by the fire - a taste of real New Zealand hospitality. Lastly, The Green is a large outdoor area which can be used as a space for team building activities. Alternatively, a big marquee can be set up and The Green becomes an outdoor dining or function space. Camp Glenorchy's corporate facilities offer a large conference room, which can be split in two, and plenty of break-out spaces, all configurable for meetings, break-outs, private dining and more. Each space comes equipped and includes free WIFI, state-of-the-art AV and seating options to suit any gathering. Unfortunately, there is no day delegate option and guests have to be staying on-site, which works really well for groups looking for something unconventional. Camp Glenorchy also offers various catering options through Mrs Woolly's Pantry. Menus designed according to your groups' needs and requirements. Choose from a self-cook menu such as a relaxed barbecue where our in-house chefs prepare the meats, salads and sides yet leaving the cooking to your group or a fully-catered menu where our in-house chefs look after all the cooking and serving for you. If social responsibility and sustainability are part of your group’s ethos, then Camp Glenorchy is the perfect fit. By choosing to stay with us, your group will not only help the planet through sustainable choices, but you will also support the local Glenorchy community. All of the profits go to the local Glenorchy Community Trust, administered by representatives from the local community and funds projects related to education, art, health and the environment. Camp Glenorchy was built to one of the highest standards of sustainability in the world, the Living Building Challenge. It also has the largest solar garden in New Zealand's South Island. Camp Glenorchy currently produces more energy than it consumes and therefore is applying for a Net Positive Energy accreditation. During your stay, you can request a sustainability tour to learn more about the building's sustainability features.
