Camp Glenorchy is an ideal destination for conference groups, incentive programs, leadership meetings or celebrations such as anniversaries, birthdays, reunions, weddings or product launches. The property’s beautiful setting and surroundings give groups a unique setting to connect, build relationships, and create memories. LOCATION Glenorchy is a short 40-minute drive from Queenstown, along one of New Zealand’s most scenic lakeside roads. Alternatively, a short, incredibly scenic helicopter or fixed-wing flight will bring your group to Glenorchy Aerodrome—just minutes away—in no time! Centrally located near the Glenorchy town centre, you and your guests can take a leisurely stroll to explore local cafes, pubs, the lagoon boardwalk, the lakeshore or other nearby activities. Glenorchy offers visitors a more relaxed venue option away from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown. FACILITIES At the heart of your venue is the Homestead building, the perfect place to get to know one another and socialise. Relax in our Greenstone Lounge, or take in the stunning views and artworks found everywhere. Venture outside to discover not only our Scheelite Campfire Shelter, which is perfect in all weathers but also our gardens and mountain vistas, enjoyed by groups all times of the year. Camp Glenorchy offers a very flexible solution to your group’s requirements. With plenty of outdoor space, we can easily provide a marquee to increase the overall size of our venue, and with in-house chefs, we can provide to your varied catering needs and budget. Camp Glenorchy's facilities include a large meeting room or reception area, which can be split in two, and plenty of break-out spaces, all configurable for meetings, break-outs, private dining and more. Each space comes equipped and includes free WIFI, state-of-the-art AV and seating options to suit any gathering. At this stage, there is no day delegate option and guests have to be staying on-site, which works really well for groups looking for something unconventional. CATERING Camp Glenorchy offers various catering options through its sister business Mrs Woolly's Pantry. Menus are designed according to your groups' needs and requirements. For instance, choose from our popular self-cook menu where you enjoy a relaxed barbecue with foods, meats and salads prepared by our in-house chefs or a fully-catered menu where our chefs look after all the cooking and provide an at-table or buffet service. A HELPING HAND To ensure your event goes smoothly, we have a full-time Events Manager to help organise your event. She is around to handle all your requests and questions prior to your arrival. She is on hand to assist throughout your event, ensuring you get what you need out of your stay with us. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY If social responsibility and sustainability are part of your group’s ethos, then Camp Glenorchy is the perfect fit. All of our profits go to the local Glenorchy Community Trust, administered by representatives from the local community and funds projects related to education, art, health and the environment. Camp Glenorchy was built to one of the highest standards of sustainability in the world, the Living Building Challenge. It also has the largest solar garden in New Zealand's South Island. Camp Glenorchy currently produces more energy than it consumes and therefore is applying for a Net Positive Energy accreditation. Camp Glenorchy has a total of 7 cabins, with a total of 14 ensuite double rooms/ 24 twin share. Six of our seven cabins have three bedrooms which can be booked as either individual rooms or interconnecting rooms to make multiple bedrooms under one roof. The 7th cabin has two bedrooms and can interconnect as a two-bedroom option. If your group is looking for a different style, we also have 4 bunk bedrooms and 4 bunk huts available, with two and four bunk beds each and shared amenities.
