Flame Bar & Grill has been a local and visitors favourite in Queenstown for more than a decade. Now the renowned steak restaurant is bigger and better than ever thanks to its new premises in a prime location on Steamer Wharf.

Flame's new home is a purpose-built space that features a bespoke bar area, a large open theatre style kitchen and views of the stunning scenery that Queenstown is famous for. Rough-sawn black timber teams up perfectly with aged copper bar fronts and steel liquor displays, and the restaurant and bar now encompass three different zones. A huge skylight opens over the new large garden room and large windows open over neighbouring lakefront Earnslaw Park with fantastic views of the Remarkables.

Flame is more than award-winning Steaks and Ribs - from the freshest seafood and tender skewered meats and Ribs to vibrant seasonal salads there’s something to please every taste.

For private events, corporate gatherings and special occasions, Flame has you covered! Groups are seated in the main restaurant depending on party size. For more intimate group settings, Flame has two rooms available for exclusive semi private dining.

We had a wonderful experience tonight at the Flame Bar and Grill. Josh took extra steps to help us with a reservation and table with a view for our anniversary. Carys provided top-notch service and recommendations. My wife loved her steak, and I was impressed by the ribs and chicken skewer. It ended with a delicious flaming bombe Alaska. We highly recommend the Flame!

Amazing grill, all of the meat was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Would highly recommend a visit if your in Queenstown! It can get very busy though so book ahead.

This restaurant is a 💯 must visit when coming to Queenstown!! You definitely need to book ahead to get in as it is always extremely busy. We loved it so much on our holiday we ended up going twice. The food is extremely delicious and very fresh. The service is amazing and friendly as well. If you can sit near the window overlooking the lake with the windows open, this really enhanced our second visit. Being from Australia, we don’t ever need to tip staff. However on our 1st visit the young waitress, I think her name was M Carys, the name on the receipt, was so good we actually added a tip. The fries have a really delicious salt that should be for sale. The red wine jus is also very moorish. Over all if this restaurant was in Adelaide Australia, we would frequently visit. Well Done 👍
