Prince's Gate is a beautifully preserved heritage hotel in the heart of Rotorua, perfect for conferences and functions.

Set within NZ's geothermal region, Prince's Gate Hotel offers a traditional venue with four dynamic spaces available for hire.

The Dukes Restaurant is a light-filled space with traditional décor, an open fireplace, polished wooden floors, and chandeliers. It extends onto a beautiful garden bar and pool area and can seat up to 80 guests.

The Nellie Budd Room portrays the charm of the Edwardian era with its high-studded Kauri ceilings, chandeliers and natural light. Depending on the configuration, this room can comfortably seat 40-80 guests.

The Monarch Function Venue is a historical building adjoining the Princes Gate Hotel, which includes a 100 pax hall and a smaller space that can be used as a breakout room or storage area. With its own entrance, bar and built-in projector screen, The Monarch is available to hire exclusively.

The Prince's Gate Hotel is conveniently located at the entrance to the Government Gardens, just a stone's throw from the lakefront and a 15-minute drive from Rotorua Airport.

This is a fabulous "colonial" hotel situated in a good location within walking distance of most amenities. Lovely room with conformable bed. We were on the first floor and all rooms were accessed by a balcony with a bistro set to sit on and watch the world go by. Lovely hot thermal pool. Recommended

I proposed during dinner, and she went above and beyond to make the night perfect — setting up a stunning table and providing the kind of service you only dream about. Her excitement and joy for us were genuine and contagious.We ended up staying two extra nights, and Cindy continued to make each evening special. She turned what was already an amazing trip into something we’ll cherish forever.
