Let me just start by saying, my husband (!) and I are both photographers, so we were very, very picky when it came to finding a wedding photographer. We stumbled upon Zahn’s website just as we were losing hope of ever finding someone whose style we liked, after trawling through hundreds of ordinary portfolios of cookie-cutter poses and muted colours. As soon as we started looking through Zahn’s images, we knew we’d struck gold. Finally, here were images that were bold, dynamic, and full of life! Shortly after, we skyped Zahn, and shared our vision for our crazy elopement – we were delighted that he was just as enthusiastic and involved as we were.We’ve just received our wedding photos and wow, wow, wow! (Who’s cutting onions in here?!) They are stunning and even better than we ever expected. We have gone through them so many times, but we can’t stop going back again and again! Zahn, we can’t thank you enough for all your enthusiasm, patience, and support in making it all happen; for helping us navigate all the uncertainties that come with planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic; and for giving us incredible memories to last a lifetime!

We were fortunate enough to have Zahn as our wedding photographer and still can't believe our luck, he was a total legend! He managed to make us look amazing and through some wizardry he also captured exactly who we are as a couple. From our first chat over a beer, he really took the time to get to know us and we felt totally able to relax, laugh and be ourselves around him. I think what we love the most is that he got all the beautiful elegant photos you expect from a wedding day, but alongside them there are these incredible photos of really honest and raw moments from throughout the day. The pure joy of us being silly with our friends on the dance floor with our noses all wrinkled from laughing, my dad getting nervous and blubbering his lines, a sunset shot of us at the top of a mountain, through to my maid of honour helping me wipe tears from my cheeks after walking down the aisle. The photos really take us back to how we felt and who we were on our best day and we couldn't be happier! We are a bit overwhelmed to be honest, there are just SO many incredible photos.

I have worked with Zahn for many years in the industry & have recently had him shoot our own wedding in Rotorua which was one of the best decisions we made. You can tell how experienced Zahn is by how relaxed he is on the day, all whilst taking control of what needed to be done. The most important thing for me for my wedding, excluding the fact that I was marrying the love of my life, was the photos. I cannot begin to explain how amazing Zahn is and how special it was to have him as my photographer.Zahn is a true artist, but is also caring, courteous and an all around awesome guy to have at your wedding. He was so great to deal with, it felt like he was just another friend at the wedding, not some random guy I hired to take photos. He spent time before the wedding to get to know me and my fiancé, and made sure we were comfortable with his approach.His photography was raw, honest, and captured the true story of the day. I didn't even notice him sneaking in and taking most of the photos!I was in tears of joy when I looked through the photos, and I have absolutely no regrets hiring Zahn. I wish I could repeat the day just to see a new set of his photos!He even followed my weird dress code, asking all of my guests to wear white!
