Located on the ground floor, The Courtyard is a beautiful heritage space set alongside the bustling city. With cobblestone under foot, solid wood beams and brick - The Courtyard is filled to the brim with character. Hosting cocktail events of up to 40 guests, The Courtyard is a hidden gem most people don’t know about, perfect for a buzzy cocktail party or corporate function. Also located on the ground floor you’ll find the hotel’s restaurant, kingi. With a focus on locally and ethically sourced ingredients, kingi is a restaurant that advocates for sustainable fishing. The restaurant envisions a brighter future for New Zealand’s fisheries and works to create a deeper appreciation for the variety in our oceans. A sophisticated private dining room adjoins the kingi courtyard. kingi Private feels like stepping into a beautiful dining room in a private home. Featuring a kauri-slab table, fish-scale chandelier and a glass-box ‘larder kitchen’ giving glimpses of chefs preparing food, the space also features an elegant wooden sideboard concealing high-end audio-visual capability so the space can be used for high-end meetings, product launches and presentations. Tucked away on the first floor, The Libraries are a succession of elegant spaces crafted for intimate gatherings, private dinners, meetings and more. The Libraries spaces include The Papuke Room, The Lounge, The Chef's Library and The Wine Library. Each space can be hired individually or in combination. The Papuke Room hosts 50 guests in various seating styles. Styled with intent, this room features a merging of new and old textures. The clean white walls alongside century-old brick and concrete create an industrial yet beautiful space. With artworks by Ralph Hotere and Shane Cotton, and brick walls revealing layers of history, The Lounge gives cocktail function guests the chance to sink into sumptuous banquettes or gather around the beautiful stone bar. The Chef's Library is a warm, relaxed and intimate semi-private dining room, where sublime meals with matched wines are hosted course-by-course by The Libraries executive chef. The adjoining kitchen allows easy conversation with chefs as each dish is prepared and served. The loft-like Wine Library is lined floor to ceiling with bottle shelves and lit by a chandelier of hand-crafted glass. Its central kauri slab table is the focus of wine tastings or private dinners. The Hotel Britomart caters for larger events with their external events space, located in the 5 Green Star Hayman Kronfeld building opposite the Britomart train station. The Kronfeld Room features textures of century-old exposed brick, high ceilings and natural light. Treating each and every event as truly unique, the chefs will work with you to build a menu that reflects all the things you love. Alongside their delectable dining options, they will curate an excellent wine list to match your bespoke menu.
