Situated in Wānaka, just off Cardrona Valley Road, The Venue neighbours stunning alpine vistas, and boasts an iconic mountainous backdrop without having to actually leave town. Location is key, with close proximity to the main township, accomodation for your guests and transportation is easily taken care of.

This ‘rustic-glam’ multi-use venue leaves you spoilt for choice when planning your perfect wedding or big event. With a sunny central courtyard connecting the internal Rustic Wing and Garden wing, spilling out onto a manicured lawn, your vision for your day can be realised.

The smaller wing offers a more contemporary vibe, with timber floors, a gas fireplace, and garden views, accommodating 60-70 seated guests. The possibilities are endless for the Garden Wing; if your group size allows, you could choose to host the ceremony, formalities or dining in this wing, leaving the Rustic Wing for dancing and festivities. Or, this space could simply allow people to escape the music, and mingle in a quieter area as they enjoy cake and hot drinks. The Garden Wing also provides peace of mind when it comes to wet or unfavourable weather, serving as a refined and tasteful safety net for a wedding ceremony.

A striking alpine backdrop lines the outdoor courtyard, providing the quintessential Wānaka wedding experience! Creating an indoor outdoor flow, this space connects both wings, bringing your group together throughout the night. We used The Venue for a staff training weekend in June, it was an awesome space for us to work and train in. Great facilities, warm, awesome outdoor area, heaps of parking and convenient use of the Stoaker room for food. Sue was really easy and helpful to work with and helped us connect with all the right people to help set it up with all the furniture we needed.

I've been a photographer at The Venue a few times now. My couples have had really great things to say about it. From my own experience, the owners have been lovely to deal with, the venue has beautiful spots to take photos inside and out. It's so close to Wanaka town with accomodation all within walking distance.

It was a truly special experience for our volunteers to be hosted at The Venue, Wanaka this year. The outdoor garden was the perfect back drop for a delightful evening to celebrate the generous volunteer time that this group provide to Food For Love Wanaka. Everyone throughly enjoyed the facilities, including a wonderful bar, amazing kitchen and very charming garden setting. Lots of our guests were picturing their own special events such as birthday parties and anniversaries being held here

We had our wedding at The Venue, Wanaka in March 2025 and it was absolutely perfect!💞 Sue was amazing to work with, her communication was spot on and made the whole process so easy.👌🏽We had 185 guests (plus 23 kids who were entertained by babysitters in the lawn area). We were worried about fitting everyone in, but The Venue's flexibility saved the day and we used every inch of the venue!😅We used the lawn for our ceremony and the Garden Wing to set up our grazing table, along with canapés being passed around after the ceremony (happy hour). While guests were being seated in the Rustic Room, our team cleared the Garden Wing and buffet tables were ready to be rolled out from the Nook room (which was closed off) for dinner. We then utilized the Nook room for the kids and babysitters to use. In the Rustic Room we were able to fit 10 round tables seating 10 people per table. The courtyard served as the overflow seating with another 9 tables (could even fit a few more), where we installed a livestream on a massive TV so guests could follow the formalities and cultural performances inside the Rustic Room. Our guests loved the indoor/outdoor flow! So, in saying that, if there is a will, there is always a way to fit a large number of guests!!🤗🎉The three-day hire option was fantastic, allowing us to decorate the day before and host a lunch for our families and friends who travelled from afar the day after the wedding. The Airbnb that came with the package was a huge bonus.We cannot recommend The Venue, Wanaka enough! We were so lucky to get this venue in the short amount of time preparing for our wedding. Accommodation

Included in your hire is a cosy 1 bedroom apartment attached to The Venue. There are external stairs leading into your apartment with a cosy separate bedroom, comfy living space and a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave. The bedroom has a queen bed with quality linens and extra pillows and blankets. The open lounge dining area has a 3 seater sofa plus a separate chair and a dining table and 2 chairs. The kitchenette has a microwave and fridge and basic requirements. There are panel heaters if needed in the cooler months.
